Sunbird Music Quiz

To continue the celebrations of Independent Week 2024 we are delighted to present the Sunbird Music Quiz hosted by the wonderful Quizmaster Connor, if that wasn’t enough we also have a live set from the mesmerising Laura Mary

Connor is a popular quizmaster from Blackburn. He travels round pub to pub each week testing the knowledge of the local patrons. He will be bringing one of his fun-filled trivia nights to Sunbird Records in February to celebrate Independent Venue Week.

WARNING! This will not just be your standard pub quiz! It will be a unique opportunity for you and a group of friends to showcase your eclectic music tastes and vie for fantastic prizes, featuring challenges, mini-games and, of course, GREAT MUSIC! It will be a celebration of everything we hold close and dear to us at the venue. Think Popmaster meets Bongo’s Bingo! We’d love to see as many of you there as possible and really make it a night to remember!

Laura Mary is a Darwen-based melodic songwriter from the heart of Lancashire. Expect ethereal tones and heartfelt lyrics. With influences drawn from Joan Baez, Stevie Nicks and Laura Marling, you will be taken on a journey of emotion and soul. Her first EP Gods and Monsters came out in 2020 and now she is back with more new music to serenade, with an array of folk and siren-like harmonies.
